Diese Mail enthält wichtige Informationen zu:

Liebe Studierende,

wir wachsen weiter zusammen und freuen uns, Sie heute über die aktuelle Entwicklung in unserem Hochschulbereich zu informieren.

Wie zu Beginn des Wintersemesters 2023 bekannt gegeben, werden zum 01.10.2024 die fünf Präsenzhochschulen der SRH - SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences, SRH Hochschule für Gesundheit, SRH Hochschule Heidelberg, SRH Hochschule in NRW sowie die SRH Wilhelm Löhe Hochschule zu einer gemeinsamen Hochschule mit ca. 8000 Studierenden. Diese ist durch das Land Baden-Württemberg staatlich anerkannt. Der Name der zukünftigen Hochschule wird SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg oder in Kurzform SRH University sein.

Wir konsolidieren unser Studienangebot, vereinfachen Strukturen und harmonisieren Prozesse, um Ihnen auch in Zukunft eine optimale Vorbereitung auf die Chancen und Herausforderungen der Arbeitswelt zu bieten. Unser prämiertes Lehr- und Lernprinzip CORE entwickeln wir weiter und machen mit innovativer Lehre Hochschul- und Weiterbildung überall für Sie zugänglich. Sie profitieren von einer deutschlandweiten engen Zusammenarbeit der Studienorte und dem gemeinsamen Praxis-Netzwerk. Sie studieren in gewohnter Weise an Ihrem Studienort, Ihre Studiengangsleitung bleibt selbstverständlich weiterhin Ihre erste Ansprechperson und auch Ihre Servicebereiche sind stets für Sie da.

Ab Oktober 2024 werden wir eine neue deutschlandweite Governance-Struktur haben, d.h. unsere Hochschule wird in fünf thematische Cluster - die Schools - gegliedert:

-        School of Art, Information and Media (AIM)

-        School of Business and Law (BLS)

-        School of Health, Education and Social Sciences (HES)

-        School of Psychology (PSY) und

-        School of Technology and Architecture (TEAC)

Eine Zuordnung Ihres Studiengangs zu der jeweiligen School finden Sie anbei, genauso wie die Übersicht über die Schools.

Gremienwahlen

Durch das Zusammenwachsen unserer Hochschulen sind vor dem 01.10.2024 Wahlen zur Besetzung der neuen gemeinsamen Gremien erforderlich: Wahlen des Academic Senate, der hochschulweit gewählt wird, und der School Councils, die je School gewählt werden. Dies erfordert Vorlauf: Bereits zum 15.07.2024 erhalten Sie die Ausschreibung für die Gremienwahlen unserer zukünftigen Hochschule SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg mit dem Aufruf, für die Gremien als studentische Vertretung zu kandidieren.

Die Gremienwahl ist für den Zeitraum von Montag, 02.09.2024 (09:00 Uhr) bis Donnerstag, 05.09.2024 (24:00) auf digitalem Wege geplant. Sie wählen in diesem Zeitraum aus der Reihe der Kandidierenden Ihre studentische Interessensvertretung in folgenden Gremien:

·        Academic Senate

·        (Fünf) School Councils

Mit der Wahlbekanntmachung am 19.08.2024 erhalten Sie weitere Informationen zur Durchführung der Wahl sowie eine Übersicht der kandidierenden Kommiliton:innen.

This email contains important information on:

Dear students,

we continue to grow together and are pleased to inform you today about the current developments in our SRH university sector.

As announced at the beginning of the winter semester 2023, on October 1, 2024, the five SRH on-site universities - SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences, SRH Hochschule für Gesundheit, SRH Hochschule Heidelberg, SRH Hochschule in NRW, and SRH Wilhelm Löhe Hochschule - will be one single university with approximately 8.000 students. The name of the future university will be SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg or simply SRH University.

What does this mean for you as students?

We are consolidating our range of courses, simplifying structures and harmonising processes to continue providing you with optimal preparation for the opportunities and challenges of the professional world. We are further developing our award-winning teaching and learning principle CORE and making higher and further education accessible to you everywhere with innovative teaching. You will benefit from a nationwide close collaboration between study locations and a shared practical network. There will be no changes to your studies - you will continue to study as usual at your study location, your head of study programme will of course remain your primary person of contact, and your service departments are still there for you.

From October 2024, we will have a new nationwide governance structure, meaning our university will be organised into five thematic clusters - the Schools:

-        School of Art, Information and Media (AIM)

-        School of Health, Education and Social Sciences (HES)

-        School of Psychology (PSY) and

-        School of Technology and Architecture (TEAC)

You will find an assignment of your study programme to the respective School attached, along with an overview of the Schools.

Committee Elections

As our universities grow together, elections for the new joint committees are required before October 01, 2024: the Academic Senate, which is elected university-wide, and the School Councils, which are elected for each School. This requires preparation: On July 15, 2024, you will receive the announcement for the committee elections of our future SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg with the call to run for the committees as a student representative.

The committee elections are scheduled to take place digitally from Monday, September 2, 2024, (09:00) to Thursday, September 5, 2024, (24:00). During this period, you will elect your student representative to the following committees from among the candidates:

·        Academic Senate

·        (five) School Councils

With the election announcement on August 19, 2024, you will receive further information on the election process as well as an overview of the candidates.
